Mayor of Managua participates in the I Ibero-American Meeting of Renaturalization of cities

From May 7 to 9, the Mayoress of Managua, Reyna Rueda, participated in the First Meeting on the Renaturalization of Cities that took place in Guatemala, where technicians and experts from 13 Ibero-American cities participated, with the purpose of discussing the main environmental challenges faced by Ibero-American cities, as well as presenting their most outstanding initiatives and projects.

In this meeting, Mayor Ricardo Quiñónez declared Mayor Reyna Rueda “Distinguished Visitor of Guatemala City”.

The topics discussed at this meeting were Sustainable Urbanism (territorial and urban planning, recovery and use of public spaces, urban development projects), adaptation to climate change, renaturalization of the city (urban green routes, green corridors, reforestation) Urban agriculture (urban gardens).
