In the historic center of the capital and joining the 22 de Agosto square with the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores park, the monument that pays tribute to peace and life is located, which was inaugurated and delivered to the capital's families by the building authorities.
This monument has a square, gardens, pedestrian platforms, benches, a water fountain with 7 stars illuminated with fire; as well as a pedestrian bridge of 112 linear meters with 2 elevators.
At the inauguration of this monument, comrade Reyna Rueda stated that this work, which extends over the General Augusto C. Sandino pedestrian avenue, represents unity, love and affection, which is inspired by the 4 elements of our nature, water, fire, air and earth; He also explained that this infrastructure work is inclusive because the rights of people with disabilities and the elderly, who will be able to use the bridge, were considered.
The opening ceremony took place with the cutting of the ribbon, the lighting of the fountain and releasing white balloons from the hands of young people as a symbol of peace and love.
