In an atmosphere of joy and popular festivity, the Managua Bicentennial Carnival took place, in which comparsas and floats participated representing the cultural diversity of our country.
The Managua Bicentennial Carnival was held on Avenida de Bolívar a Chávez, where the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua installed grandstands, from where thousands of families from the capital enjoyed the different artistic presentations of the comparsas.
The event was inaugurated by comrade Reyna Rueda, Mayor of Managua and Vice Mayor Enrique Armas, who gave the banderillazo to the artistic parade in celebration of the 200th anniversary of the appointment of Leal Villa de Managua.
The parade began with the artistic presentation of the Boaco troupe, then the float that carried Miss Managua Bicentennial Yensy Manzano, who was wearing a fantasy costume, paraded; then it was the turn of the Masaya and Managua troupes; so successively, the different artistic expressions were paraded until the event culminated with the parade of modified cars.
