The Departmental Cabinet of Tourism of Managua met at the old railway station in Mateare, to present the tourist and gastronomic offer of this municipality, which is located 25 kilometers from the Nicaraguan capital.
This tourist promotion was held on the morning of Thursday, March 21, on a warm day on the shores of the beach of Lake Xolotlán, in front of the impressive landscape offered by the Momotombo and Momotombito volcanoes.
The tourist offer was presented by the colleague María Isabel Ramírez, Mayor of the Citizen Power of Mateare, who highlighted the different tourist routes of the Momotombo, Apoyeque volcanoes and the Chiltepe Peninsula that houses 2 lagoons, as well as 2 viewpoints from where the immensity can be appreciated from Lake Xolotlán and the municipalities of Managua, Ciudad Sandino, San Francisco Libre, Tipitapa and Mateare are appreciated; They also offer archaeological sites in the Tamagás area and the great gastronomic variety offered by the restaurants and viewpoints of the municipality, highlighting the sardine dough, the cheese soup and the oven thing.
Likewise, he invited to attend the boat competition that will be held on Sunday April 21, and religious activities such as the Judea that will be held on Holy Thursday. This tourist relaunch is guided by the preservation of cultural values and national identity, the conservation of the environment, the promotion of sustainable tourism and the human development of municipalities and communities, to guarantee the generation of income for these Nicaraguan families.
