On Tuesday, March 19, comrade Fidel Moreno announced the start of the new road maintenance plan for Managua, who explained the different aspects of this program that guarantees good service on the capital's road system.
This plan includes mechanized patching, which will be carried out on the main roads of Managua and has contemplated covering 14 kilometers, divided into 8 sections, which will be worked from 9:00 at night to 1:00 in the morning, to reduce the effects of road closures.
Track repairs, through mechanized patching, will be carried out from the El Güegüense roundabout to Triunfo Street, from the Hugo Chávez roundabout to the Gancho de Caminos roundabout, Cristo Rey roundabout to the Central Hospital, El Periodista roundabout to the Sandino Memorial Traffic Lights , José Martí bust to the Santo Domingo radial, from Tiscapa to the roundabout of the Centroamérica neighborhood and 2 sections on the Larreynaga track.
In the same way, he explained that this road maintenance plan also includes manual patching that will be carried out on secondary roads, access and surroundings of the capital's neighborhoods.
He also explained that another component is the Streets for the People program, which this year includes 184 new projects for the city of Managua, which will serve approximately 2,000 blocks of streets throughout the capital; reported that about 400 blocks of land will be paved and another 400 blocks will be rebuilt, in addition to 1,200 blocks that will be maintained.
