Puerto Rico National Team pays tribute to Roberto Clemente in Managua

Paying tribute to Roberto Clemente, the Puerto Rico National Team visited the monument built in the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores Park, where they placed floral offerings to honor the memory of this distinguished Puerto Rican baseball player.

In addition to the visit to the monument, the Puerto Rican team visited the Roberto Clemente children's stadium located in the same capital park, where the players held a meeting with the children of the Children's Baseball Academies of the Mayor's Office of Managua.

In this meeting, the members of the Puerto Rico National Team were decorated with a medal, who were happy for the appreciation and affection that the Nicaraguan people have for the memory of Roberto Clemente, who died on December 31, 1972, when He was traveling to Nicaragua with help for the victims of the Managua earthquake.
