In recognition of the cultural contribution provided by national artists, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua built the Paseo de las Estrellas, to pay tribute to national art in its different expressions.
The Paseo de las Estrellas, which is located in the plaza of the restaurants of Paseo Xolotlán, was inaugurated by the building authorities this Saturday, March 9, in an atmosphere of art and culture, where 10 artists were distinguished, who have highlighted the name of Nicaragua outside our borders, giving glory to our country.
At this inauguration, fellow Mayor Reyna Rueda Alvarado expressed that the artists deserve this recognition for the great contribution they have made in music, folklore, painting and in general in all cultural expressions.
The award-winning artists were the musicians Otto de la Rocha, Osmán Delgado and Ofilio Picón, the folklorists Irene López, Blanca Guardado and Haydée Palacios, the choreographer and ballet dancer Elvin Vanegas, as well as the visual artists Donaldo Aguirre, Eddy Bustos and Jorge Avilés, who were happy with the recognition made by the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua.
