Having a new home was the dream of Mrs. Mercedes Aguirre Delgado and her husband Rodolfo Padilla, an elderly couple who for more than 40 years lived in a humble home in the Villa Cuba neighborhood, District V of the Capital.
This morning, the capital commune with the support of the Embassy of China (Taiwan), made the dreams of this family come true, handing over the keys to their house that was completely rebuilt.
The Vice Mayor of Managua, Enrique Armas, explained that this is the 60th dignified house that the Government of Taiwan gives to the people of Nicaragua, as a show of support for the Government of Commander Daniel.
He announced that homes had already been delivered on other occasions, and only in District V 34 homes have been delivered.
The Ambassador of China (Taiwan), Mr. Jaime Chin-Mu Wu, expressed his satisfaction to support a family that lived in a house with very vulnerable conditions.
"We are very happy to see a family that can live peacefully and with great hope," said the diplomat.
For her part, the protagonist Mercedes Aguirre, expressed feeling happy to have her house rebuilt, in which she will live more safely and with dignity.
