In the framework of the Bicentennial celebrations of the Leal Villa de Managua, the Mayor of the Citizen Power presented Malli as the mascot of this important commemoration of the Nicaraguan capital.
The image of Malli Bicentenaria is inspired by a vessel of Chorotega origin, with 3 feathers that symbolize the diversity of flora and fauna, the aquifer and the volcanic chain of Nicaragua, its name is derived from the word "Azomalli" which means peace, tranquility and calm; This mascot has 3 facets, sports, cultural and environmental, which were presented in its official launch.
Comrade Reyna Rueda Alvarado, Mayor of Managua, said that with the presentation of Malli Bicentenaria, the amphitheater of the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores park was inaugurated, which has capacity for 400 spectators seated in their seats, a space for the recreation of the capital's families.
Malli's presentation concluded with a Jazz concert with interpretations of national themes called “Managua, memories, a history with a future”, which was enjoyed by the families from the capital attending this event, who expressed their enthusiasm for this cultural activity.
