The residents of the Edgar Munguía neighborhood celebrated the restoration of their park this Sunday, December 2, adding with this, four more restored parks at the end of the week.
The Edgard Munguía park was sponsored by the General Directorate of Income, giving it back to the families, completely remodeled and with better conditions than it already had.
For the families it was a holiday, because it is an achievement to have recovered this space that represents the meeting place for local families.
The Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda, reiterated the commune's commitment in coordination with the Central Government to continue providing family recreation spaces to all Managuas.
“This week for us has been very significant all the parks that we inaugurated this week had been totally destroyed, but thanks to the political will of our Government led by Commander Daniel and Compañera Rosario Murillo have made this achievement possible for children and for the population".
"Each smile, each joy of our boys and girls are blessings we receive, there are more than 70 parks that we have given to the families of the neighborhoods in all the districts, we have less than 40 to deliver fully rehabilitated and with Wifi," he said. .
A little more than 600 thousand córdobas were invested in the park, however, Martín Rivas, General Director of the DGI, an institution that sponsors the park, assured that the most important thing is the commitment invested for the well-being of the surrounding families.
“We do it at the orders of the President of the Republic and Compañera Rosario Murillo, we invested some financial resources in this. But what we invest the most on the side of our workers, laborers, welders, painters, carpenters, masons, in this rehabilitation work ".
The reconstruction was total, improving from platforms to sports fields.
The parks that were rebuilt and handed over to the population during the week were: Héroes y Mártires from the Cuba neighborhood of District II, Héroes y Mártires from the Pedro Joaquín Chamorro neighborhood of District IV and the park from the Edgar Munguía neighborhood of District I and the park Camilo Ortega No. 2 of District III.
