The Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua in conjunction with the mayors of the city of Granada, Rivas and San Juan del Sur, made an agreement of friendship and cooperation, by signing a twinning with the Costa Rican city of Quepos, with the aim of exchange commercial, productive, educational, cultural and technological investments.
These twinning arrangements that promote investment are part of the Municipal Strategic Development Plan of the Sandinista mayors, to improve the living conditions of their inhabitants, through solidarity actions of exchange of experiences, collaboration, execution of projects and everything else in jointly agree.
In this exchange, the city of Quepos will offer opportunities for mutual benefits and Nicaragua will provide experience in security, organization against natural disasters, municipal work and the promotion of investment and tourism.
The twinning agreements were signed by the mayors Reyna Rueda, Julia Mena, the Mayor Wilfredo López and the Vice Mayor Randall Granja, of Managua, Granada, Rivas and San Juan del Sur respectively, with the Vice Mayor of the city of Quepos, Erick Cordero, during an Extraordinary Session of the Municipal Council in the neighboring country of the south.
During the visit to Quepos, the Mayor of Managua, Reyna Rueda, together with the Mayor of the city of Granada Julia Mena, took a tour of the agricultural plantations and the industrial plant of the Palma Tica Company, where they were received by their manager. , Mr. Sergio García and the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Mr. Harry Boadan.
