The Alexis Argüello sports center was the scene of the inauguration of the Champion Clubs Championship of the Central American Basketball Confederation (COCABA), an event that was inaugurated by comrade Enrique Armas Rosales, Vice Mayor of Managua and Dr. Marcela Mejía, Nicaraguan Basketball Federation, who they threw the ball to inaugurate this sporting tournament.
In this sporting event 5 basketball teams participate in representation of the Central American countries, for Nicaragua, Real Estelí; Honduras, Banco Atlántida; El Salvador, Santa Tecla BC Guatemala, Xela Basketball Club and on behalf of Panama the Correcaminos Colón team, who will compete for the first place trophy on Sunday, November 18.
The first night of games, they faced Real Estelí vs. Xela BC leaving board 101 for Nicaragua and 25 for Guatemala; likewise, the Banco Atlántida team of Honduras won the first game with 66 points, against 63 made by Santa Tecla, El Salvador.
