In the consultative council of District 3 of Managua, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power presented the Preliminary Draft of the General Municipal Budget of Income and Expenditure proposed for the year 2019.
At this meeting, Mayor Reyna Rueda Alvarado stated that the budget projects were prepared in consensus with the neighborhoods and communities of District 3, as part of the Citizen Power model, which promotes Good Government.
In this presentation it was announced that the municipal budget for the year 2019 is projected at 4,790 million 406 thousand 853 Córdobas; of which 343 Million 383 Thousand 3 Córdobas will be allocated to District 3 of Managua.
Of the amount allocated for District 3, 91,04% will be allocated to capital spending, which is quantified 312 Million 621 Thousand 768 Córdobas; those that will be invested in the execution of 21 infrastructure projects, 10 environmental projects, 14 district projects, 32 projects and human development programs; as well as maintenance works, public cleaning and acquisition of machinery and equipment.
For the 14 district projects, 28 million Córdobas will be allocated to be executed in different mitigation projects and attention to the main needs of the District 3 community, among which the improvement of roads through the construction of 2 bridge boxes over the Pochocuape channel in the San Judas and Andrés Castro neighborhood sectors; construction of 3 ramps in Pochocuape, to avoid erosion and undermining of the road, construction of a vehicular bridge over the Cuajachillo riverbed in the Independencia neighborhood; as well as the expansion of 25 Southeast Street in the Altagracia neighborhood.
Among the 21 projects to be executed through the Infrastructure Directorate, there is the construction of 6 pedestrian bridges, the improvement of roads and dirt streets, as well as the rehabilitation of public spaces.
