Caponeras competition in Paseo Xolotlán

As part of the recreation and healthy recreation of the capital's families, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua organized the mototaxis speed competition, known as Caponeras, an activity that took place on the four-lane track in front of the Xolotlán promenade.

More than 100 caponiers from different sectors of Managua participated in this competition, including San Judas neighborhood, Loma Linda, Las Jagüitas, René Schick, Tierra Prometida, Ticomo, San Isidro de La Cruz Verde, Nejapa and Esquipulas; as well as guests from Ticuantepe and Diriamba.

The event began with an exhibition of the modified caponiers and their skills, which gave a lot of attraction to the residents of the capital who attended this event that is held for the first time in our capital city.

The competition was held in knockout hits of 4 participants each, where Jerry Beteta from Nejapa came out as finalists first place, Steven Treminio from Ticuantepe and Óscar Gómez from Reparto Schick in second and third place respectively.
