As part of the Citizen Power model, the Managua Mayor's Office held the first citizen consultation meeting in District 1 of the capital, where the Preliminary Draft of the General Municipal Budget of Income and Expenditure for the year 2019 was presented.
In this district council, proposals for projects to be executed in the neighborhoods and regions of District 1 of Managua were presented, which were formulated in conjunction with the community, as part of the Citizen Power model.
The Municipal Budget Draft for 2019 is quantified at 4,790 million 406,853 Córdobas, of which ordinary income represents 64,94% with an amount of 3,111 million Córdobas and ordinary income has an amount of 1 Thousand 679 Million 406 Thousand 853 Córdobas representing 35,06%.
In this presentation it was indicated that the total expenses have an amount equal to the total income, of which 1,280 Million 897 Thousand 60 Córdobas will be used for current expenses and 3 thousand 509 Million 509 Thousand 793 Cordobas to capital expenses, which which represent 73,26% of total expenditures.
In District 1 of Managua, 395 million 494 thousand 947 Córdobas will be invested, of which 379 million 122 thousand 418 Córdobas will be allocated to capital spending, through the execution of 47 infrastructure projects, 12 environmental projects, 8 district projects , 31 investment projects in human development, as well as in maintenance of works, public cleaning and acquisition of machinery and equipment.
Among the works to be carried out in the district are the road improvement in the Jonathan González neighborhood, construction of a pedestrian bridge in the Oscar Turcio neighborhood and fourth stage of Hialeah, road improvement and storm drainage in the San Isidro de la Cruz Verde region and in the Colinas neighborhood of the Sandino Memorial; as well as the expansion of the discharge in the Villa Fontana micro-dam.
