The Vice Mayor of Managua and representatives of the Ministry of Family and Community Economy announced the holding of the first national innovation contest in crafts, which will be held this Saturday, September 29, in the Plaza del Paseo Xolotlán.
This event will begin at 9:00 in the morning and will have the participation of 100 artisans, from different municipalities of the country that were previously selected in departmental competitions.
Likewise, colleague Fátima Cáceres from the Ministry of Family and Community Economy, said that the event will reward the best traditional crafts where the use of materials, local raw materials, the cultural value of the piece, will be taken into account. the elaboration technique, the finish and the design of the same; Similarly, he said, the best contemporary crafts will be awarded, where innovation, design creativity and artistic value will be awarded.
