Reopening of a park in the Santo Domingo region

In restitution of the right to recreation and healthy recreation of the families of the Santo Domingo region of District 5 of Managua, the Good Government through the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua and the sponsorship of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, rehabilitated the Parque de Las Sierras de Santo Domingo, in a period of three years and in a work carried out in four stages, with a financial investment of C$6,781,286.53 from 2015 to 2018.

The renovation of the park directly benefits 2,675 inhabitants and consisted of painting the square, maintenance of 35 linear meters of platforms, as well as steps and handrails at the access gates, also, 10 benches, 3 games were installed fiberglass playgrounds with rubber flooring and the rehabilitation of 12 playgrounds.

Reyna Rueda, Mayor of Managua, when handing over the park to the community, highlighted the importance that the Central Government gives to the recovery of family recreation space.

“We are working hand in hand with the Central Government for the benefit of Nicaraguan families, there is an express will of our revolutionary government headed by Commander Daniel and our Vice President, Compañera Rosario, to improve living conditions, that is why the spaces Healthy family recreation is vital for our children. This effort would not be possible if the wills were not united, therefore, we thank our brothers from the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, for their unconditional support in this project ”.

Fanny Mejía López, a resident of the region, highlighted the invaluable work of building such a beautiful park for families.

“All of us have witnessed the work that was done in this park and as it is so large we could see that the improvements were being made little by little, in stages, until we achieved what we have today, this is only done when there is will and our revolutionary government, has shown that willingness to work for the common good of families, creating conditions of peace and security for our children and grandchildren.
