National Rookie Championship drops 38 gold medals

In the National Long Swimming Pool Novice Championship, which was held this weekend at the "Michelle Richardson" swimming pool complex, 11 swimming clubs participated nationwide, 113 swimmers who competed against each other to compete for gold, silver and bronze medals. .

The swimmers competed in the freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly in the 50 and 100 meters, the competitions began at 11:00 in the morning and at the end of the day the swimmers gave the battle. The awards were 38 gold, 36 silver and 34 bronze medals.

The Managua Nica Nadadores club broke a record winning 42 medals in total, 15 gold, 13 silver and 14 bronze; while the Delfines de la Gloria always from Managua is in second place with 6 gold, 6 silver, 8 bronze; This year Estelí achieved third place with the Acuazul swimming school with 6 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze medals for a total of 13 medals; In fourth place was the Los Tiburones school of the UCC de León with 11 medals won, 6 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze.

There are two consecutive weekends that the municipality in coordination with the Nicaraguan Swimming Federation (Fenanica), in order to promote and support the sport, have held two competitions, the first in short pools, the winners will represent us in December in world competition short pool and now the national long pool rookie championship.
