Traditionalists from Sabana Grande perform procession with the Mocito from Santo Domingo

The traditionalist porters and the Indian committee of Managua, together with devotees, carried out the procession with the Mocito from Santo Domingo de Guzmán, in Sabana Grande, Villa Dignidad, La Curva neighborhood and surrounding sectors.

This procession in honor of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, was born with the aim of rescuing and preserving the traditions of the devotees originating from the rubble and coastal area, who were evacuated in Villa Dignidad and Ciudad Belén, due to the floods and earthquakes of April of 2014.

Yasser Estrada of the Los Inditos Committee expressed that this activity begins with the procession of the image of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, from the Sabana Grande church to the La Curva neighborhood, where a cultural festival is held and the next morning they are held bogie racing.

Likewise, in an atmosphere of fervor and religiosity, devotees and promisers of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, accompanied the image of the Saint in gratitude to his intersection for the miracles received, as expressed by Mrs. Reina Belli who pays a promise with her little daughter, Likewise, Mrs. María Obando, who carried the Mocito rock on her journey through these communities, spoke out.
