In greeting to the day of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, this August 4, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power, made the election of the Queen of the patron saint festivities of Managua, where Miss Yarabí Margarita Degracia, from the Santo Domingo district of the District, was elected. 5.
This event was held in the Plaza 22 de Agosto, in an atmosphere of joy, festivity and popular tradition, beginning at 5:00 in the afternoon, with the presentation of the 21 candidates for queens, previously selected in district competitions, where 3 finalists per district were chosen, who would compete to be the queen of the Managua patron saint festivities.
The jury that was in charge of choosing the Queen was chaired by comrade Jennifer Porras López, Secretary of the Managua Council, comrade Brenda Flores, Coordinator of the Leonel Rugama Movement, comrade Mercedes Grijalva, Director of the National School of Dance and comrade Luis Morales, Director of the Nicaraguan Institute of Culture, who took into account the scenic domain, the presentation of the typical costume, the answering of questions, as well as the support and applause of the attendees.
