As part of the day in greeting to International Women's Day, Good Government through the Mayor's Office of Citizen Power of Managua, held a cultural evening in Plaza 22 de Agosto located on the south side of the Palace of Culture.
The cultural evening took place on the night of Friday, March 2, with the assistance of families from the capital who enjoyed artistic performances by Marbely Blandón, the contemporary dance group Colectivo Luna, Osman Delgado and Don Otto de la Rocha, who performed songs dedicated to women.
Comrade Enrique Armas Rosales, Vice Mayor of Managua, also attended this activity, who announced that the capital's Commune is paying this tribute, as part of the recognition of Nicaraguan women; Likewise, she highlighted that the Sandinista government has guaranteed the role of women in all roles in society.
Similarly, the women thanked the tribute, as expressed by Mrs. Janeth Díaz, who attended the cultural evening and stated that the Sandinista Government has restored the rights of Nicaraguan women, demonstrated in the programs aimed at working women, students, young people and the elderly.
