Nicaragua will host the World Boxing Convention

Nicaragua will once again have the eyes of the world on her, in October when the World Boxing Convention is held, in which 80 countries that belong to the World Boxing Organization (WBO) will participate, the land of lakes and volcanoes will be the hostess from October 29 to 31, 2018.

The event was announced by Dr. Francisco Valcárcel, President of the OMB, at a press conference at the Dennis Martínez National Stadium together with Vice Mayor Enrique Armas and television promoter Félix Tuto Zabala and Mr. Ricardo Rizo.

The president of the OMB, Dr. Francisco Valcárcel, announced that the theme of the convention will be “Nicaragua the safest country in Latin America”.

“This convention is an effective way of informing the world about Nicaragua's progress and it is a way of recognizing all the efforts made by the government of President Ortega and Vice President Rosario Murillo to promote sport and give young people new options. of life in the safest country in Latin America ”.

Valcárcel announced that the OMB will pay tribute to President Ortega, for the work carried out by the government to create new life opportunities for future generations, the recognition of the President will be during the gala dinner at the OMB Annual Awards.

“The objective of holding the annual convention here is to present to the world the new Republic of Nicaragua, and what better way to have 80 Ambassadors from the different countries who will come and see with their own eyes the reality of living in this land that they loved so much. our dear and remembered Alexis Argüello (rpd) ”.

World champions and great personalities will come to the convention, who will also participate in a scoring tournament.

The convention will close with the annual WBO awards, where the best fighter of the year, the best fight of the year, the regional champions will be awarded, all this will be done with a spectacular and surprising show, a gala dinner and the master of ceremony It will be Mr. Jimmy Melo Junior.
