Committed to the rescue of our historical memory and national identity, as well as the recovery of spaces for recreation in the coastal area of Lake Xolotlán; The Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua inaugurated the replicas of the Hacienda San Jacinto house and the railway station, located on the eastern side of Paseo Xolotlán.
This inauguration was presided over by comrade Enrique Armas Rosales, Vice Mayor of Managua, and comrade Jennifer Porras López, Secretary of the Managua Council, who made the inaugural ribbon-cutting and invited families to visit the replicas of these historic sites.
After the inauguration, a tour was made of the replica of the Casa Hacienda San Jacinto, which has a construction area of 1,284 square meters and has three exhibition halls, these being the San Jacinto Battle Hall, the room of the Heroes of the Battle and that of the National Symbols; also in the external part there are three monuments and a model where all the components of the original farm can be appreciated.
Likewise, the replica of the Railway Station was visited, which has a construction area of 1,200 square meters and is made up of three spaces: the ticket office, the boarding area and the waiting room for the train.
In addition to these 2 buildings, the project contains a plaza with 5 kiosks, green areas, pedestrian walkways, drinking water system, rainwater drainage, sanitary services, internal and external lighting; as well as a train for infants, which will run along the north bank of the Xolotlán promenade. With these new spaces for family recreation, the Good Government has recovered almost 4 kilometers of coastline of our Lake Xolotlán.
