Mayor's Office commemorates Rubén Darío

In commemoration of the 102nd anniversary of the transition to another plane of life of the distinguished Nicaraguan poet and Father of Modernism Rubén Darío, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua held an art festival to honor the life and work of the Prince of Castilian Letters.

This anniversary was presided over by fellow Vice Mayor Enrique Armas Rosales, who said that this tribute to Rubén Darío is a cultural activity in which prominent artists such as Ofilio Picón participated, who has musicalized the poems of Father Modernism, as well as violinists such as the teacher Jeffrey Rubens, Ronald Hernández, and Los Rubencitos who are the quintessential group of the city of Managua in declaiming poetry of the Prince of Castilian Letters.

In the same way, colleague Clemente Guido, Director of Municipal Historical Heritage, said that Darío's work continues alive and in the current context, which is why it is commemorated alive, through his poetry, music and dance.

In addition, the Marina Cárdenas Municipal Choir and dance and ballet groups from the Leonel Rugama Cultural Movement participated in this event; the festival "El Canto del Cisne Azul", took place on Paseo Xolotlán, in front of the replicas of the museum houses of our famous poet Rubén Darío.
