As part of the celebrations for the 151st anniversary of the birth of the Prince of Castilian Letters Rubén Darío, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua held an artistic gala at the monument of our distinguished poet, located in front of the central park.
This event was chaired by the Mayor of the Citizen Power, Reyna Rueda Alvarado, where she highlighted the greatness of Rubén Darío, expressing her admiration for that being of light and Father of Modernism.
Notable Nicaraguan artists participated in this artistic gala, expressing their admiration for Rubén Darío, as stated by Elisa Picado from Fundación INCANTO.
Likewise, Elisa Picado along with other artists such as Mario Rocha, Ofílio Picón and the Camerata Bach put Rubén Darío's poems to music, as well as ballet dances performed by young people from the Leonel Rugama Cultural Movement, in a night of art and national pride.
