A flower for Roberto Clemente

Paying honor and glory to the memory of Roberto Clemente, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua, young people from the Alexis Argüello Sports Movement and the Children's Baseball Academies of the capital city imposed a wreath at the monument of this famous Puerto Rican baseball player, located in the park Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores.

The event took place last Sunday, December 31, 2017, the day that commemorated the 45th anniversary of his passage to another plane of life in 1972, when he left San Juan, Puerto Rico for Nicaragua in solidarity with the earthquake victims.

In this commemorative act, the humanism and solidarity of Roberto Clemente with the people of Managua was highlighted and culminated with a friendly game at the Roberto Clemente children's stadium in the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores park.
