With a gastronomic fair, the fifth edition of the contest "The Cleanest and Most Beautiful Fritanga in Managua" was held on Saturday, October 14, an activity that took place in a family and community atmosphere in the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores Park.
This contest aims to promote good practices in the handling and handling of food, to guarantee public health; in addition, improve the attention and good service in these popular food venues.
The award ceremony of the fifth edition of this contest was presided over by comrade Reyna Rueda Alvarado, who said that in this event the qualifying jury evaluated the taste of the food, the typical appearance, the order and the cleanliness of the premises.
The first place award this year was obtained by the fritanga Altamira who received 30 Thousand Cordobas in cash and prizes from environmentally friendly companies; the fried Taqui Pollos from District 2, won second place with 22 Thousand Córdobas and third place was reached by Jenny from District 4, with 15 Thousand Córdobas in cash and surprise prizes.
In this municipal contest, the contest of the queen and the king of the fritanga was also held, where the candidates from the different comiderías expressed their talents in gastronomy, as well as, to offer the different dishes to their clients; The winners of the first 3 places were the fritangas “Sabor Costeño” from District 6, “Pato Asado” from the El Riguero neighborhood and the third place “Asados Salmerón” from the 25th Anniversary neighborhood, District 3.
