The Secretary of the Municipal Council of Managua, Reyna Juanita Rueda and candidate for Mayor for the Sandinista National Liberation Front, delivered together with the vice minister of MARENA, colleague Roberto Araquistaín, an environmental bonus to 21 producers of the Pochocuape region located in the southern basin of the capital.
The voucher consists of a water pump, a 1,800-liter tank, water purifiers, a fumigation pump, shovels, pickaxes, barbed wire, hoe, wheelbarrow, staples, scissors, chapodadoras, machetes, among others.
It should be noted that these agricultural producers have carried out environmental protection works on their farms, including infiltration wells, live fence curtains, infiltration tanks, gabions to retain rainwater, among other environmental tasks.
The Deputy Minister of Marena, affirmed that these tasks, rather than defending the lands of the farms where they are carried out, the positive effects are reflected in the lower area of the capital, since a large amount of water that infiltrates these lands no longer runs and they flood the capital's houses.
For her part, the Secretary of the Managua Council, stated that it is a great satisfaction to see the joy of fellow peasants who today receive this agricultural bonus as a reward for their work of prevention and protection of the environment, this support is thanks to the Government of Reconciliation and National Unit chaired by Commander Daniel Ortega and comrade Rosario Murillo in coordination with the Municipal Government of Managua.
