Minguito on his throne in Las Sierritas

Amid shouts of joy and joy from hundreds of parishioners and promisers, to the sound of chicheros and the detonation of rockets and mortars, Santo Domingo de Guzmán was raised to his throne in the church of the same name, in Las Sierritas de Managua, after to stay for ten days in his other temple in the Historic Center of the capital.

Minguito was promoted to his throne by Father Boanerges Carballo and the Mayordoma of the patronal festivals and Mayor of Managua, companion Daysi Torres, accompanied by the members of the different Chargers Committees, the Vice Mayor Enrique Armas and the Secretary of the Council of Managua, partner Reyna Juanita Rueda.

Before uploading the image of Santo Domingo, Father Carballo thanked the Mayordoma as the representative of the Mayor's Office of Managua for the unconditional support they gave to the patron saint festivities, as well as to the members of the National Police, Fire Department, Red Cross, among others, for the efforts and patience to maintain the order of the different festive activities, "this spirit of unity, collaboration, coordination and order remain to help us work together for the common good of all, for our part as a church, we continue to walk in life preaching the gospel as Santo Domingo de Guzmán did ”, said the priest.

For her part, the Mayor of Managua, Daysi Torres, expressed her gratitude to God in the first place, to the Catholic Church and to all those who have been part of these festivities in honor of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, “who is a light, a guide of love, of faith, of devotion that is what gives us the strength to make a pilgrimage in the presence of God ”.

“Thank you God for having given us the opportunity to fulfill one more year with this commitment that, guided by the hand of the Lord and the Blessed Virgin, we have walked alongside our people full of faith, devotion, religiosity, tradition and culture in honor of Santo Domingo, because we compromised our word and it must be fulfilled ”. At the same time, he made the call to be better parents, better, children, siblings, friends and colleagues.
