Mayor's Office invests 208 million córdobas in storm drainage

This year the Municipal Government carries out 126 storm drainage projects in the capital, with an investment of 208 million córdobas.

The neighborhoods with the most far-reaching projects are: La Primavera in District VI, Domitila Lugo in District IV, and Marcos Somarriba in District III, where a tour was conducted with municipal authorities to assess the scope and pending details on the site.

Reyna Rueda, Secretary of the Managua Council, explained that the project is 75 percent complete.

“This project benefits two neighborhoods, Marcos Somarriba and Lidia Saavedra, more than 140 families were cut off, the bridge box that we are building is in the middle of the two neighborhoods, our government can make this type of investments and projects, thanks to the political will of the Central Government led by Commander Daniel and Vice President Rosario Murillo ”.

The construction has an investment of 5 million 700 thousand cordobas and the bridge box includes the lining with hydraulic concrete of more than 40 linear meters of riverbed, in addition to the stabilization of the slopes with gabions and the lining of the street.

The Vice Mayor Enrique Armas explained that this type of project has been eliminating the different critical points that affected the population for years.

"Thanks to the push of our government led by Commander Daniel and Compañera Rosario, we can do this type of work that comes from the population's proposals in the town hall process, the mandate of our Commander is to respond immediately to the needs of the capital's families and we can achieve that if the inhabitants participate in the consultation process ”.
