Loan signed to execute the Juan Pablo II Track Rehabilitation Project

As part of the economic, social and urban growth of Managua, the Good Government signed with the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), a loan to finance the rehabilitation of the Juan Pablo II track with 5 uneven steps, which will be executed by the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power.

This project consists of the rehabilitation of 9.55 kilometers of track, which extend from Kilometer 7 of Carretera Sur to the traffic lights of the Pedro Joaquín Chamorro neighborhood in Carretera Norte; where a 6-lane track will be built, with 5 uneven crossings, 6 pedestrian bridges, platforms and bus stops, in addition to the drainage systems, sanitary sewer, drinking water, lighting and hydrants.

This work for the common good has an investment amount of 255.9 Million Dollars, of which 129 Million will be co-financed by the European Investment Bank (EIB), 21.4 Million by the National Government, in addition to 105.5 Million approved by the CABEI loan .

This new track, in addition to improving circulation, contributes to Managua being more competitive by reducing time and connectivity costs, because this road traces the Capital from north to south and in its extension connects with other development centers.
