Third Meeting of Key Actors of the Master Plan for Urban Development of Managua

With the objective of building an instrument for planning the development of Managua, which incorporates the evaluation of different aspects of the life of the capital families; The Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua in coordination with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) held the third meeting with key actors for the planning, analysis and construction of the urban master plan of the Nicaraguan capital.

In this activity, studies carried out for the construction of the urban development master plan of our capital were presented, among which are proposals to improve the road, housing, commercial, industrial and transportation infrastructure of Managua in the next 25 years.

This urban development plan is a planning instrument for the growth of our capital, through which its conditions, realities and vulnerabilities are known; as well as, their demographic data, aspects of health, education, transportation, water and sanitation; that allow knowing and directing towards where we want the urban development of the city.

Likewise, comrade Fidel Moreno, Secretary General of the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua, expressed that this proposal is built in dialogue and consensus, by the key actors, guaranteeing a city with human development and in harmony with the environment.

This meeting was attended by representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency, the Municipality, the COSEP Construction Chambers and different institutions of the Central Government, including ENACAL, MTI, SINAPRED and the National Police.
