Construction of the National Stadium in the final stretch

During a supervision tour of the construction of the new National Baseball Stadium, comrade Fidel Moreno Briones, Secretary General of the Mayor's Office of Managua, reported that this project is in its completion stage, with an advance of 86%.

Comrade Fidel Moreno, indicated that the gray work was completed in a 100% about 3 weeks ago and that the project is already in the final stretch, a period in which the details and finishes of the construction are executed, as well as, the works complementary to the project; Therefore, this project is expected to conclude in July.

Among the final works of this construction, is the roof structure, which has an advance of 15% and is expected to be completed in a period of 4 weeks, to install the roof of the same; later the grass will be installed on the playing field, to avoid being damaged. He also explained that the electronic screen has already been placed and the first operational tests have been carried out, where its high technological quality can be verified, because during the day or night it can be seen clearly.

Likewise, he announced the start of complementary works, which have an investment of 33 million córdobas, including the sanitary sewer system, the construction of a bridge box, 2 drainage tunnels, 108 linear meters of perimeter wall, 280 meters linear pedestrian platforms, the lining of 466 linear meters of gutter; as well as, the installation of railings, walls, ramps, manholes and drains.

In this presentation, comrade Fidel Moreno, explained that the stadium has an estimated investment of 35 Million Dollars, approximately 33 Million Dollars were invested in the construction of the main work, plus a Million in drainage works and the Road works associated with the stadium, among which are the Carretera a Masaya and Pista de La Resistencia, in addition to the construction of 25th street, which will link Avenida Bolívar with the Carretera a Masaya, passing through the south side of the stadium , so it is expected to exceed an additional 3 or 4 million.

He also indicated that as part of the drainage works, at this time 2 bridges are being built over Avenida Universitaria, because the hydraulic sections of the channels were expanded, by almost 300%, to avoid the risks of flooding in the area.
