In order to safeguard the lives of families at risk of disasters, the Good Government, through the Mayor's Office of Citizen Power of Managua, visited the critical points of District 2, to verify the situation of the homes in these areas.

The tour was led by comrade Reyna Rueda Alvarado, Secretary of the Managua Council, who together with members of SINAPRED and the organized community supervised the mitigation works carried out by the capital's Commune. In District 2 of Managua there were 12 critical points, which have been reduced to 9 in this year 2017; where 337 families live.

During the tour, the category B critical point was visited, located in sector E of the Carlos Núñez neighborhood, where the mitigation works in the event of collapse were verified, such as the stabilization of slopes that will provide protection to the 140 families of the place; Likewise, comrade Reyna Rueda explained that in 2014, this neighborhood had a sector of 75 families, cataloged as a category A critical point, or high risk, which was evacuated and transferred to Ciudad Belén; this as part of the commitment that the Good Government has to safeguard the lives of families in the capital.

In the same way, the population of the sector expressed their gratitude to the Good Government, for being vigilant and providing attention to the most needy families; This was expressed by Mrs. Mayna Estrada Hernández, who said she was grateful that they are provided with accompaniment and training on evacuation and rescue of families at risk of collapse, in addition, that they regularly carry out disaster drills.
