The Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power, in coordination with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), held a drawing contest among primary and secondary school students in Managua, based on the developed and environmentally friendly city that the new ones dream about and perceive. generations.
This contest aims to promote the inclusion and familiarization of children and adolescents in the Master Plan for Urban Development of Managua, where through their creativity they capture their ideas and creativity.
The activity was chaired by comrade Reyna Rueda Alvarado, Secretary of the Managua Council, who witnessed the entire event, until its culmination with the awarding of recognition to the first places in the primary and secondary categories.
He also announced that 100 children and adolescents from different public schools in the 7 districts of Managua participated in this contest, including the Camilo Zapata school, Republic of Venezuela, Salvador Mendieta, General José de San Martín and Pedro Joaquín Chamorro.
The first three places in each category were selected based on the creativity, presentation and illustration of the city combining the different components such as transport, environment and urban development; First place in primary school was obtained by the boy Jean Carlos Poveda from the Las Brisas school and in the secondary category the winner was the teenager Anderson Andrés Morales from the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores school.
