Launch of the 16th edition of the National Land Fair

The Good Government, through the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua and state institutions, together with organizations, universities and companies that carry out good environmental practices, announced the realization of the sixteenth edition of the National Land Fair, as well as its objectives and activities to be developed on April 21 and 22, in greeting to International Earth Day.

The objective of the National Land Fair this year will be to promote water conservation for human well-being; through the management and use of water, also making known the ways of conservation and protection of our natural resources.

In the presentation of the 16th edition of the National Land Fair, colleague Edwin Castro, coordinator of the event, stated that to date 60 participants have already been confirmed in the expo-fair, he also indicated that there will be a knowledge room with talks educational for young people and a cultural platform and activities for children, during the 2 days; where Nicaraguan families can attend and learn about the importance of conserving our environment.

Likewise, Comrade Enrique Armas Rosales, Vice Mayor of Managua, expressed the importance of this activity, to promote the care and conservation of our natural resources; At the same time, he expressed the commitment of the Mayor's Office of Citizen Power to continue working in the preservation of our environment.

The activity was also chaired by Mrs. Helena Guarín, Head of the Cooperation Section on environmental issues and the productive sector of the European Union in Nicaragua; who confirmed the commitment to work together for the protection of the environment; At the same time that he highlighted the commitment and capacity that Nicaragua has shown to be a regional leader in renewable energies, proof of this is that more than 50% of energy comes from renewable sources.
