Carnival Saturday at Paseo Los Estudiantes

In an atmosphere of joy, music and art, the first of the three Carnival Saturdays took place, which will be held prior to the 2017 Nicaragua Alegría por la Vida Carnival, to be held on April 22.

This initiative, which is promoted by the Carnival Organizing Committee, the Leonel Rugama Cultural Movement and the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua, aims to make a preselection of the best comparsas, which will be the participants of the 2017 Nicaragua Carnival.

On the first Saturday of carnival, 13 groups from Managua paraded, who made their artistic presentations and were evaluated, evaluating the choreographic design, musicality, coordination of movements, as well as the harmony between the dance corps and musicians.

Likewise, Mr. Iván Alí Escobar, Artistic Director of the Carnival, announced that on Saturdays, March 25 and April 1, the other parades will take place, in which more groups from different neighborhoods of our capital city will participate.

This parade took place on the Paseo Los Estudiantes, where the capital's population came to admire the artistic skills of the different groups participating in the first Saturday of Carnival.
