The municipality started the second stage of lining the Domitila Lugo riverbed located in District IV, the rainwater drainage project aims to stabilize the riverbed slopes by coating 125 linear meters with hydraulic concrete at this stage, eliminating a critical point and benefiting 10 families The project is 15 percent complete and will be ready before winter arrives.

In a tour of the work, the colleague Reyna Rueda, Secretary of the Council, explained that the lining of the channel will give greater security to the surrounding families because it will prevent landslides.

“This storm drainage project is very important because it eliminates a critical point in district IV, last year we had five and now there are four left. In the first stage of the project, the safety of eight families was guaranteed and in the second we are protecting ten more families. For our government, led by Commander Daniel and Compañera Rosario, the main thing is the protection of the families, ”said Rueda.

The channel measures 450 linear meters and its lining is carried out in stages, the first started last year and the second is executed in the first quarter of this year, as explained by Jason Toruño, Director of Infrastructure.
