Paseo Xolotlán Water Park is visited by more than 100,000 people

The new fourth stage of Paseo Xolotlán opened its doors on December 25 and to celebrate Christmas, almost 30 thousand people visited the new tourist center that offers Nicaraguan families a theme park made up of models of the most representative churches and cathedrals of all the country and a water park for children from 1 to 12 years old.

The new stage has an area of 350 linear meters and is the result of joining efforts between the capital's commune and private companies, as explained by the Secretary General, Fidel Moreno.

“As Compañera Rosario announced, with this new stage we have recovered 350 linear meters of lake shore so that families can come to enjoy a water park and a theme park that rescues our architectural wealth from colonial times to modern times. modern, with which we completed three kilometers of recovery of the coastal area of the old Malecón ”.

To enjoy the new water park, visitors will pay 10 córdobas, adults and children 30 córdobas; With this symbolic price, visitors will be able to stay from 9:00 in the morning to 10:00 at night on weekends and from Monday to Friday from 2:00 to 9:00 pm.

“Thanks to the model promoted by our Sandinista government, we have a new coastal area whose axis is Avenida Bolívar and the main parks of Managua, which are already a tourist destination for Nicaraguans. Currently, 25 thousand people visit Paseo Xolotlán during the week. weekends between 40 and 50 thousand people ”.

The new Water Park exceeded the usual rate of visitors, from December 25 to January 2, 110,000 visitors have entered.

Among the measures to guarantee safety are: the provision in the playground of six people trained as lifeguards with experience in first aid, a first aid kit and a contingency plan and evacuation route for people in the event of risk events.

The Water Park has a shower area prior to entering the games where children must shower with the supervision of their parents.

The municipality, with the support of the Central Government and in a responsible manner, is monitoring the water quality in both pools with three daily water measurements, to measure the concentration of residual chlorine in the waters of the water park, the first sample is taken at 9 a.m. : 00 am, the second at 1:00 pm and the third at 6:00 pm.
