The Vice Mayor of Managua, comrade Enrique Armas Rosales, was awarded as the best Central American boxing commentator of the year 2016 by the World Boxing Organization (WBO), chaired by Mr. Francisco Valcárcel.
The nomination was made by the great merits, in the narration, analysis and knowledge of world boxing that comrade Armas Rosales possesses.
The recognition diploma was delivered by Mr. Francisco Valcárcel who affirmed that Enrique is an encyclopedia, a computer chip with a huge brain that contains all the information about sports and mainly boxing in the world; He is a journalist who narrates, and comments brilliantly on a boxing fight, no matter how boring it may be, he makes it interesting because of the dynamism and enthusiasm it gives him.
Upon receiving the award, the Vice Mayor expressed with emotion and a broken voice: “I receive this award as a tribute, as a recognition of the great support that Commander Daniel Ortega gives to sports in Nicaragua, to boxing, to baseball, and to all sports disciplines. and that today the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity is building stadiums and fields and sports facilities throughout the country.
For her part, the Mayor of the capital, comrade Daysi Torres, said that this is a well-deserved recognition by comrade Vice-mayor, who from a very young age works in the field of sports narration, becoming today the first chronicler and narrator to receive an award from it. Nature by the World Boxing Organization, it is also a recognition of Nicaragua worldwide.
