As part of the model of direct democracy and citizen power, the Municipality carried out a road improvement work on the main street of the Colinas del Memorial Sandino neighborhood.
This work of progress consisted of the construction of a 5-block street with hydraulic concrete and pedestrian platforms, in addition to the improvement of storm drainage in the sector.
The road improvement was delivered to the inhabitants of the sector, by comrade Reyna Rueda Alvarado, Secretary of the Managua Council, in an atmosphere of joy, family and community; the inauguration and delivery of the work took place with a community act, where there were artistic performances of rhythmic bands and folk dances.
The beneficiary population expressed their satisfaction with this project of the common good that contributes to the development of this capital neighborhood, as stated by Mr. Jairo Gómez, a resident of the sector who said he was happy with the construction of the streets and platforms that guarantees safety and a better mobility for families in this community.
For her part, the comrade Reyna Rueda Alvarado, said that this work is the result of the Citizen Power model, because it was a project requested by the inhabitants of the sector in the town councils and community assemblies and included in the annual investment plans. Likewise, he announced that the investment cost was 3 Million 2,900 Córdobas and directly benefited 2,875 inhabitants of the area.
