Committed to promoting sports and healthy recreation in the capital's children and youth, the Mayor's Office of Citizen Power held the Intercollegiate Futsal Tournament of District 7 of Managua.
This sports tournament was developed over a period of 4 and a half months, in which 16 men's teams and 12 women's teams participated, from different schools in District 7, including the September 14 Institute, Miguel Bonilla, May Day, Rubenia, Josefa Toledo, Villa Libertad and Edgar Arbizú.
The closing of this sporting event was chaired by comrade Enrique Armas Rosales, Vice Mayor of Managua, who urged young people to continue practicing sport as part of their integral development.
He also expressed the commitment of the capital city to promote sports with the construction of sports spaces and the creation of teams, tournaments and leagues, following the guidelines of Commander Daniel Ortega and Compañera Rosario Murillo.
The first places in this sporting event were obtained by the Villa Libertad school in the men's tournament and the September 14 institute in the women's tournament; Likewise, the young Scarleth Espinoza and David Ríos were awarded as leading scorers in the women's and men's tournaments.
