Closing of the First Student Chess Tournament Rubén Darío

In restitution of the right to sports and in salute to the first centenary of the passing to the immortality of the Prince of Castilian Letters and Distinguished Poet and compatriot our Rubén Darío, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua held the First Student Chess Tournament.

Approximately 200 schools from all over the Managua municipality participated in this chess tournament, where the students competed in different rounds, until the champions of each District were selected.

The closing of this sporting event was chaired by comrade Enrique Armas Rosales, Vice Mayor of Managua, who congratulated the champions of each district and urged them to continue practicing this sport that contributes to their integral development; At the same time, he expressed the commitment of the Good Government to continue working to promote sports among Nicaraguan children and youth.

For his part, Professor Leonel Roa from Colegio San Sebastián, was happy with this initiative that promotes Good Governance, through which children and youth develop their minds and discipline.

Eighteen champions from the same number of schools participated in this event, who disputed the first three places in the tournament, among the participating schools, is the Mexico Experimental Institute, Salvador Mendieta, San Sebastián, Aldeas SOS and Maestro Gabriel.
