In commemoration of the 127th anniversary of the birth of the creator of the lyrics of the National Anthem, Salomón Ibarra Mayorga, the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua held a ceremonial act at the mausoleum of this distinguished Nicaraguan.
This event was chaired by comrade Enrique Armas Rosales, Vice Mayor of Managua, who highlighted the legacy of Salomón Ibarra Mayorga; Likewise, the Municipal Musical Band offered a concert and colleague Clemente Guido gave a chair to high school students who attended the commemoration.
This activity was carried out in the San Pedro cemetery, where a wreath was placed on the remains of Salomón Ibarra Mayorga and his wife Angelina Mejía de Ibarra.
Likewise, floral offerings were imposed on the mausoleums of the heroes and combatants of the Battle of San Jacinto, who are buried in this cemetery, as is the case of General Andrés Zamora and General Francisco de Dios Avilés.
