Managua Mayor's Office and the Ministry of Education deliver a park to residents of the Primero de Mayo neighborhood

The dreams for which the heroes and martyrs gave their lives in the fight against the Somocista dictatorship avant-garde by the Sandinista National Liberation Front, today become a reality, with the delivery of this park to the inhabitants of Colonia Primero de Mayo, the one that was built by the Mayor's Office of Managua and the economic support of the Ministry of Education.

Today in a new stage of the Sandinista Popular Revolution, the Government of Reconciliation and National Unity chaired by Commander Daniel Ortega and comrade Rosario Murillo have guided government institutions to support municipalities in the construction and reconstruction of parks, to return to the population the right to enjoy a safe and healthy distraction, mainly children and young people.

The scope of the recreation center of Colonia Primero de Mayo was the construction of a multipurpose court, the installation of five modern playgrounds, water fountains, iron benches and the installation of an interior and exterior lighting system, which will allow that young people can enjoy the multipurpose court at night. 161.59 linear meters of wall with cyclone mesh was also installed.

The investment made by the Ministry of Education amounts to more than seven million cordobas.

The new work of progress was inaugurated by the Vice Mayor, comrade Enrique Armas Rosales, who affirmed that the orientation of President Daniel Ortega and Comrade Rosario Murillo is to improve the standard of living for Nicaraguans, guaranteeing better health, education, recreation, and improving systems road network, as well as storm drainage among others.

At the same time, he stated that the unity of efforts between the municipalities and the government institutions is the orientation of President Daniel and Compañera Rosario, so that both adults, children and young people have safe recreational parks.
