In an atmosphere of joy, revelry and religiosity, the traditional Roza del Camino took place, where the Catholic Church handed over the festivities in honor of Santo Domingo de Guzmán to the Mayordoma and Mayor of Managua Daysi Torres Forests.

La Roza del Camino, is an activity prior to the descent of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, in commemoration of the traditional brushing and cleaning of the road that the devotees of "Minguito" made on the route that the procession of the Holy Patron makes from Las Sierritas to downtown Managua.

The devotees of Las Sierras and Managua gather at the Cruz del Paraíso, to celebrate the beginning of the festivities in honor of Santo Domingo and where the tajona is delivered to the Mayordoma of this religious festival.

In this religious activity, the Mayordoma and Mayor of Managua Daysi Torres, was happy with the reception of La Tajona, she also asked Santo Domingo to guide us along the path of love, family unity, the common good and to strengthen us in faith; likewise, he urged to celebrate in order, with respect and a lot of religiosity.

It is important to highlight that this celebration was held in order and safety, with the support of lifeguards from the Nicaraguan Red Cross, firefighters and agents of the National Police.
