As part of the campaign My Neighborhood, My Community, My Clean, Beautiful and Healthy Municipality; The Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power of Managua supervised the cleaning of the Villa Reconciliation channel, located in District 6 of our capital city.
This supervision session was led by comrade Reyna Rueda Alvarado, Secretary of the Managua Council, who was accompanied by young people from the Guardabarranco Environmental Movement and promoters from the municipality, who sensitized the families that live near the riverbed about the importance of keeping our lands clean. channels and thus keep our city healthy.
In the same way, he reported that in this section of riverbed that measures 1.2 kilometers, 20 tons of garbage and sediment are expected to be evacuated, for which he called on the population not to throw the garbage in the riverbed, streets and gutters, because the Municipality it spends 40 Million Cordobas on these cleaning jobs, which could be used to carry out more works of progress and restitution of rights in the capital city.
He announced that so far this year, 6,670 tons of garbage and sediment have been collected from the channels and gutters in the 3 cleaning stages carried out by the Mayor's Office of the Citizen Power, to guarantee a clean, beautiful and healthy municipality .
