Boxing evening in Tribute to Alexis Argüello

In tribute to our three-time World Boxing Champion and Mayor of the Town Alexis Argüello Bohórquez, a boxing evening was held in the Luis Alfonso Velásquez Flores park.

In this boxing evening, 30 young boxers from the Los Flacos Explosivos academies of the Managua Mayor's Office and Los Halcones from the Nicaraguan Institute of Sports participated, who demonstrated and exposed their pugilistic abilities in this sporting event.

The activity, which was held in commemoration of the seventh anniversary of the passage to immortality of the Three-time champion Alexis Argüello, was chaired by colleague Enrique Armas Rosales, Vice Mayor of Managua, who highlighted and paid tribute to his memory.

In this event, which paid tribute to one of the glories of our national sport, young people from the Sandinista Youth and the Alexis Argüello Sports Movement attended, as well as prominent boxers such as the Panamanian Hilario Zapata and the Puerto Rican Iván Calderón.
